MATCHA ZANMAI Reviews
Koko and Orlando made our day. Super polite and humble but most importantly they suggested us some good stuff. Really happy to experience authentic Matcha Icecream. If you’re a genuine lover, don’t get the vanilla one and just get pure matcha to get authentic taste. ...
Very delicious mochi and desserts. The matcha latte is also very good. The place is tiny so don't expect lots of seats inside.
Nice variety of drinks and desserts. The iced strawberry matcha latte was oddly not sweet at all but the matcha frappe was perfect. Would love to come again to try their ice cream. ...
Cozy little cafe that every matcha lover should visit! Great menu that features many different matcha flavoured desserts and drinks. Enjoyed their soft serve, cookies, and mochi!
Great place for matcha lovers. Inside the cafe it smelt really nice and the staff were very welcoming and happy to be there. Went like 20 minutes before closing, but despite that, me and my friends recieved our orders decently fast. We ordered a matcha drink and matcha ice cream which tasted pretty good. Would recommend this matcha spot!
We tried the hot matcha and hojicha latte and really liked it!! The taste and staff are super nice. Only the prices are a bit above average (12,65 for both drinks (without tip)) and they don't have toilets BUT we are really happy that we have finally tried this place! I for sure recommend it to everybody (even to people who think that matcha tastes like spinach or grass - they might change their opinion here :))))
What a gem!! I'm always on the hunt for a great matcha spot, so I was super excited when a Montreal local recommended this delightful Chinatown shop! The shop itself looks rather unassuming - tucked away in a little side alley with space for only a few small tables - but looks can absolutely be deceiving. They have a variety of great matcha dishes, ranging from classic ceremonial matcha to creative matcha lattes to some of the best matcha ice cream I've had in North America. It had been a pretty hot day (quite rare for Montreal in May), so I was craving something cold and sweet...the perfect mood to try out their matcha soft serve. They offer a variety of toppings, including matcha cake, mochi, red bean, and soybean powder; however, if you're as indecisive as I am, you can try them all with the Zanmai Signature. The ice cream was phenomenal - it was rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. You can absolutely taste the earthy, slightly bitter, slightly floral matcha, balanced out by just enough sugar. The toppings also helped make the parfait more interesting, with various pops of flavor and texture; you do have to eat the mochi pretty quickly, though, as the cold ice cream tends to make the mochi harden up and become less chewy or fun to eat. All in all, I was super impressed by this spot! The staff was friendly, the ice cream was outstanding, and the space was nice and cozy. I can't wait to come back and sample some of their drinks!
Service is AMAZING! Matcha is superb! We came here twice during our visit in the city. The only place we visited twice. Must try! Highly recommended. ...
